How to rent a car?

It is easiest to rent a car via our Internet reservation form, available from every place in the world. During the reservation process, specify the date and place of reception and return of the car, choose the preferred class of the car you want to travel in, order optional accessories and make the payment. Our system will assign the proper car to your reservation, so you can be sure that the car that you have chosen will be waiting for you at the time of reception.
If you do not have Internet access at the time, you can contact our Helpline worker at the number (+48 12) 1 97 79 or with a chosen Division of our company. You can find contacts of our divisions on our website.

What documents do I need in order to rent a car?

First of all, you need to have a driving licence confirming your eligibility to drive a car. You will also need another ID: an identity card or a passport. In rare cases, our bureau s employee can ask you to supply an employment certificate.

If I rent a car to the name of my company, what documents are required?

The Express employee will ask you to supply registration documents of your company: PIN, EIN, National Court Register number or the entry in the Register of Business Activity. The rental agreement can be signed only by the company owner, a representative mentioned in the National Court Register number or another person acting on the basis of a valid proxy.

Who can rent a car?

A car can be rented by a person that is older that 21 years and for at least a year has had a valid driving licence qualifying for driving vehicles in Poland.

How much does it cost to rent a car with Express?

Wile making a reservation via the form on our website, you see how much your rental is going to cost. The system will automatically calculate the rental price, including any discounts and promotions. Rental rates can also be looked up on the Price List page.

What is the surcharge for additional mileage?

In the case of renting cars, delivery vans or off-road vehicles, we do not impose limits on the mileage for the rental period. This means that by paying a day rate for the rental, you can drive as much as you want. We only apply a separate price list in the case of campers, that details surcharges for additional mileage.

What is a deposit?

A deposit is a blocked sum of resources on your credit card (in rare cases it is charged in cash) that is secured in case of the car rent by the lessor become damaged.

Do you return deposits?

The deposit is returnable. If the car is returned without any damage, the deposit is returned immediately (in the case of a credit card, the resources are unblocked.

Where can I collect the car that I have rent?

By default, the Client collects the car at the office of our division. You can also order an optional service - bringing the car to any place, e.g. to an airport, a railway station or a hotel.

Can I pick up the car from another location than listed on the reservation form?

If You need to pick up or drop off the car in any other location, please choose the city from the list than "city" location an fill the form precisely describing the place Ypu require, for example: Location: Warsaw, City, description: "please be at the main entrance to the Marriott Hotel str"

Do you bring cars to airports?

Yes, we bring cars to all airports in Poland.

Do you charge additional payments for renting a car?

At our company, we do not surprise our clients with any additional payments about which they do not know at the moment of rental. About any possible surcharges (e.g. bringing the car to a designated location or renting an additional e) the Client is always informed at the moment of making their reservation, according to the rates listed in the rental price list.

Is it necessary for me to own a credit card, in order to rent a car?

Yes, a credit card is necessary to rent a car.
In rare cases, if certain specified conditions are met, our employee may accept another form of payment guarantee than a credit card. It is an exceptional situation, each time considered individually by the manager.

Does a company need to have a credit card, in order to rent a car?

In the case of companies, we allow that, after supplying registration documents, the deposit be made in cash or by bank transfer. The company can make payments for the rental by bank transfer.

Can a company pay for a rental by bank transfer?

Yes, of course. We have provided for the possibility of bank transfer payment. However, it does not exempt the company from the obligation of supplying copies of registration documents (PIN, EIN, National Court Register number or the entry in the Register of Business Activity).

Can I hire additional equipment, such as a GPS system?

Yes, you can. In our online booking form, you can tick the options and additional equipment you require, e.g. a GPS system, a roof rack, a bike rack, a ski rack, a child car seat and other.
When booking a vehicle by phone or in person at one of Express offices, ask the booking clerk to check the availability of the additional equipment you require and to provide you with a quotation.

Can I take your vehicle outside Poland?

Yes, you can. You can take the rented vehicle to any country within the European Union and to some countries outside the EU. If you wish to take the vehicle outside Poland, you must tell us about it when making a booking or picking up the vehicle.
You will be charged an extra fee, as the vehicle will need some additional equipment required in other European countries.

Can the vehicle be driven by a person other than that who signed the rental agreement?

Yes. Unlike most car hire agencies, we do not charge any extra fees for that. You must, however, tell us about that when picking up the vehicle and present the ID cards and valid driving licences of all the other drivers.

What should I do if the vehicle breaks down or is involved in a road accident?

If the vehicle breaks down, is immobilised, involved in an accident or other events, please contact Express immediately by calling our Technical Helpline at (+48 12) 1 94 49. Our assistant will give you all the necessary information and advice about what you should do. The helpline is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, also if you call from outside Poland.
